The Campsite

Last weekend, I had my 2nd camping experience; this time the campsite was a very organized one, with warm shower and equipped toilet with basin!  This camping site was located at Brannan Island, CA about an hours' drive from Berkeley.  

We arrived there on Friday night, set up the tents and headed off to bed...the weather was perfect that night, not too cold but I could hear the cars zooming along the highway...so in a way, it was like camping in between the streets!  Nevertheless, the clear sky with bright stars compensated for that noise, and of course perfect company that made me enjoy the trip even more.  Yumiko and I had a good chat the 1st night where she decided to join us for this camping trip.  

The next morning, it was bright and sunny where we took a walk around the island.  The stroll was a really relaxing one where it feels like time stood still for that moment, no stress, no rush, and away from the hustle n bustle of the city life...and on top of that, we had been eating nonstop during the whole camping trip!  I think I ate 4x more than my daily meal!  It was amazing to see how much food that everyone brought...

The 2nd night it was so windy that my tent felt like it was being blown away (the wind was howling all night!)...I had to go to the toilet in middle of the night where I was contemplating whether to go or not...in the end, I said to myself....well..if the tent got blown away, I will just look for it :) well...lucky enough, the tent was in its original place when I returned :)...

I think I slept for a total of 5 hrs during the 2 nights...and by the time I reached home, I just pop on my bed and slept and slept and slept like someone who was so deprived of sleep!!!

I realized that weather changes drastically everyday, and not a single day is alike with one another....the same goes with living...each day is a new beginning where one could never predict or see what is beyond the unexpected...
