Yumiko - the sushi chef for the day

Tulip-shaped 'Nori-maki'

Cute Antara and me
We had a ladies' lunch yesterday at one of my labmates' place in El Cerrito. The word 'ladies' indicated that this lunch was solely attended by all ladies, no men was invited:-) We did sushi lunch where one of the menu was California roll...maybe this sushi roll is originated from CA caused they used avocados in this roll, one of the most famous vege used in this area. Another dish of the day was a potato dish cooked with Indian spices. After this hearty meal, we sat down and enjoyed English tea while eating mooncakes and fruit salad. We were so stuffed, rested awhile where I managed to practice playing the piano after so long! I realized my fingers were so stiff...this shows that I really need to practice more to get back the old momentum again. Then, Yumiko performed a tea ceremony where we had a good taste of the powdered green tea (I always prefer powdered green tea over the leaves - it is definitely tastier). The party lasted for 4 hours and by the time we left the place, we were still so full!!! Indeed a very satisfying meal!
