As the title of today's post said it all...Garlic Festival....and I was surprised at how big the fair ground was! And the parking lots were HUGE!!!
Every year, Gilroy will host its Garlic Festival where during mid-summer, if you drive through Gilroy, you can smell the garlic aroma all around you...it does smell nice actually...definitely will frightened away the 'vampires' :-)
The festival was an enjoyable one indeed...and the longer the day went by, it became crowded and crowded, and of course hotter and hotter!!! Let's see what did I have....garlic fries, garlic mushroom, garlic sausage, garlic shrimp, AND highlight...GARLIC ICECREAM!!! actually it is not that bad :-) well..after all those garlic intake...u can imagine the breath..so lotsa popping in mint! and of course releasing 'air' too :-) hehehe...but definitely a good experience! Oohh..not to forget I had my rootbeer float too! Reminded me when my dad used to bring is drive thru at the A&W back in PJ to get our baby rootbeer and rootbeer float! Those were the days....Up to now....rootbeer is still my favourite :)
Besides having a showcase of garlic food, there were also exhibition of arts and crafts...actually I should say the selection were pretty unique, there were stalls selling glass sculptures, beads, clothings, posters, jewelleries, etc...I guessed this is a chance for artists to show off their showcase. I had good fun, good food and great company, Yeng for dragging me out to breath fresh air after not feeling too well for the week...
